Liveliness check (3)
You can now control which devices candidates can use while taking tests or attending AI interviews on WeCP.
When you create a new test, Device Control is enabled by default and set to computer only to ensure full compatibility across all question types and integrity features. For existing tests, nothing changes unexpectedly. If your test already supports both computer and mobile devices, it will continue to work the same way. If your test includes features that work only on computers, the computer-only option will be selected to ensure a reliable experience. For more reading

We’ve introduced an AI Subject Matter Expert (SME) to help you quickly assess the quality of AI-generated tests before sharing them with candidates.
The AI SME reviews a test based on the selected job role and highlights question relevance, coverage gaps, and clarity issues, making it easier to spot what’s missing or needs improvement.
For example, if AI generates a test for a Sales role, an AI Sales SME evaluates whether the questions align with key sales skills and contexts—so you can confidently validate and refine the test before inviting candidates. More reading
Greet candidates (4)
We’ve improved the instructions shown during the liveliness check to help candidates pass it more easily.
Candidates are now guided to briefly close their eyes instead of blinking too quickly, reducing failures caused by unclear instructions and making the test start experience smoother.

For assessments taken on mobile devices, we’ve made the Submit action on the last question more clear and prominent.
While the submit option existed earlier, it wasn’t clearly communicated, which caused confusion for some candidates. The updated design now highlights the Submit button clearly, making it easier for candidates to recognize the action and submit their test with confidence.
Liveliness check (2)
The test duration is now easier to spot while creating or editing a test, helping avoid missed or incorrect time limits.
Improve visibility test duratrion
Over the last quarter, we shipped a focused set of improvements across assessments, proctoring, reporting, integrations, and candidate experience. These updates are aimed at helping teams evaluate talent more accurately, reduce manual effort, and improve trust throughout the hiring process.
To keep this simple, we’ve put together a
short 2-minute video
that walks you through what’s new.
1. Culture Pro: Deeper Personality & Culture Insights
image
Culture Pro has been enhanced to provide more structured and interpretable insights into candidate personality and culture fit. With this release, we’ve improved report clarity and expanded personality coverage using the globally recognised 16PF framework. Learn more about Culture Pro
2. Detect Code Plagiarism During Candidate Tests
image
WeCP can now detect when candidates copy code during a test, strengthening assessment integrity without additional setup. Plagiarism signals are automatically captured alongside existing proctoring data. Read how plagiarism detection works
3. Show Performance Split Upfront in Candidate Feedback
image
Candidate feedback now displays performance split upfront, allowing recruiters to quickly understand strengths and gaps without opening detailed reports.
4. Highlight Scripted or Screen-Reading Behavior Under Proctoring
image
Suspicious scripted responses and screen-reading behavior are now explicitly highlighted under proctoring insights. This helps interviewers focus on meaningful integrity signals instead of raw activity logs. Read about scripted behavior detection
5. Improved Candidate Video Question Experience
image
Earlier, candidates had only one attempt with strict viewing limits on video questions. Video questions now behave like regular questions, with no hard viewing restrictions and up to two attempts allowed — helping candidates respond more confidently and deliver higher-quality answers. See the video question experience guide
6. Greet Candidates Before the Test (Admin Configuration)
image
You can now greet candidates with a welcome video and/or written message before the assessment begins. Clear, friendly greetings help candidates feel prepared and confident, leading to higher completion rates and fewer drop-offs. Learn more about how to greet candidates
7. ATS Integrations: Teamtailor, Ashby and Eightfold
image
WeCP now integrates more deeply with leading ATS platforms like Ashby, Eightfold, and TeamTailor—making it easier to sync candidate data, manage assessments, and keep hiring workflows moving without manual coordination or process breaks. View more about ATS integration
8. Two-Factor Authentication for Logins
image
Users can now enable two-factor authentication for every login from profile settings, adding an extra layer of security and protecting accounts from unauthorized access. Read more about the 2FA security guide
9. Redesigned Candidate Pre-Test Experience
image
Candidates now move through a simplified, human-first pre-test flow that reduces stress and ensures readiness. The flow consolidates verification checks, introduces optional recruiter greetings, and presents guidelines clearly—all in 3–4 focused steps at most. This helps candidates feel confident, reduces drop-offs, and preserves test integrity without adding friction. Explore the redesigned pre-test experience
10. Bulk Delete Questions Within a Section
image
Previously, deleting questions from a section required removing them one by one. You can now select multiple questions and delete them in bulk, making it much faster to clean up, reorganize, or iterate on large tests.
11. Show Candidate Region and Country Alongside IP Address
image
Candidate reports now display region and country information alongside IP address, providing clearer geographic context during candidate review, audits, and compliance checks.
12. AI Interview Improvements with Android Support
image
The AI interview experience has been improved with more stable response handling, resulting in smoother and more consistent interactions for candidates. In addition, AI interviews are now supported on Android devices, expanding accessibility across platforms.
13. Unified Soft Skills Question Type
image
Non-technical question types such as communication, psychometric, and behavioral assessments are now consolidated under a single Soft Skills question type. This creates a more streamlined and consistent setup experience while preserving existing evaluation behavior. Read more about Soft skills question type
14. Improved Candidate Report Navigation & Clarity
image
The candidate report experience has been improved to make reviews clearer, faster, and more structured. The updated layout now clearly communicates what sections and checks were enabled, disabled, or not included in a test — all within the same report view. Know more about the candidate report
15. Save Questions as Draft
image
While creating questions, you can now save them as drafts even if all required fields are not completed. This allows you to pause, revisit, and refine questions later without losing progress. This makes question creation more flexible, especially when collaborating or iterating on complex questions.
16. Enhanced Vibe Coding Experience for Project Questions
image
The vibe coding experience for project questions has been enhanced to feel more interactive and conversational for candidates. When enabled, candidates can write, modify, and explain their approach directly on the WeCP AI prompt while solving the problem. Know more about how to enable Vibe Coding for project questions
What’s Next
We’ll continue improving how teams assess, review, and trust candidate evaluations—while keeping both recruiter and candidate experiences simple and reliable. More updates coming in the next quarter.
